Smile Train Project:

Unlike many charities that do many different things, The Smile Train mission is focused on solving a single problem: cleft lip and palate. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly, they aren’t allowed to attend school or hold a job and they face very difficult lives filled with shame, isolation, pain and heartache. The good news is every single child with a cleft can be helped with surgery that costs as little as $250 and takes as little as 45 minutes! It gives these children not only a new smile but a new life!

A bake sale to raise money for Smile Train will be held on Wednesday, August 25th.

A lunch sale will also be held and will take place on Wednesday, September 22nd.

All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated!

For more information, please contact Bobbie Davies at bobbiedavies@eastwick.edu or Cassie Facendola at cfacendola@eastwick.edu in Student Services.

Center for Food Action:

To this end, CFA provides emergency food packages, rental and utility assistance, counseling, advocacy and other essential services to those in need living in northern New Jersey.

Constitution Day
September 17, 2010
Eastwick College

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.

On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created. We encourage all Americans to observe this important day in our nations history by attending local events in your area. Celebrate Constitution Day through activities, learning, parades and demonstrations of our Love for the United States of America and the Blessings of Freedom Our Founding Fathers secured for us.
