The goal of the Bilingual Hispanic Licensed Practical Nursing Program is to prepare Spanish-speaking, ESL-level (English as a Second Language) students to enter the healthcare field as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs); all instructors are bilingual.
Our program is designed to meet the growing need for bilingual nurses to serve the Hispanic population; graduates have the ability to work as LPNs in both Spanish and English speaking environments. The 18-month program includes 600 hours of ESL in addition to the curriculum and training necessary for graduates to take the NCLEX-PN licensing exam, and during the first nine months of the program, students can test in either English or Spanish.
