There are approximately 200 recognized allied health professions in the nation, making up to 60% of the US healthcare workforce. In almost all allied health professions there is a shortage of trained personnel, creating enormous opportunities for individuals with an allied health education.
The Allied Health Program is designed to meet this extraordinary opportunity, providing students with a wide range of skills that allow them to fill positions in many different areas of the healthcare industry. Some of these positions include medical assistant, patient care technician, EKG technician, phlebotomist, medical biller and coder and unit clerk.
