Eastwick Education ultrasound student
Offered in: Eastwick College | Nutley |

Ultrasound technology is used to create internal images of the human body, such as the muscles, tendons and organs. This is done through the use of sound waves, which bounce back and are translated into images by a computer. Ultrasound does not involve the use of radiation, making it appealing to patients.

The ultrasound program is specifically designed to train students in the procedure and help them meet the growing demand in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The Department of Labor reports that the employment of diagnostic medical sonographers is expected to increased by about 19 percent through 2016.
